The MotoGP circus is ready to face up to the last over sea round of the 2009 season at the spectacular Sepang race track this week end and once again GIVI Asia will support the LCR Honda MotoGP Team as Title Sponsor for this unique event. GIVI and the LCR Team will “switch on the engine” together and the famous Italian Manufacturer (a leader business in the production and marketing of motorbike accessories) will brand Randy De Puniet’s RC212V currently 8th in the world championship classification in the premier class.
For this special occasion GIVI Asia will invite more than 500 customers and will brand the main grandstand of Sepang race track with GIVI flags and banners including an unique party which will take place on Saturday night at KL city centre.
The penultimate round of 2009 MotoGP World Championship takes the premier class riders to Sepang which is traditionally the most physically demanding race of the year. Tropically hot is a trademark of the Malaysian circuit and tropical downpours are always a possibility, however, though the track dries quickly.
De Puniet: “We had quite a good weekend in Australia, but everything changes in Malaysia. The conditions are so different – maybe from 16 degrees to 35 degrees – that the bike changes, the tyres change and the feel you get from the machine changes. It will therefore be important to work very well during the three sessions. Basically I feel confident about Sunday’s race as I always had a very good pace here. My aim is to get as many points as possible to improve my position in the world standing”.
