Misano, 03 September: The LCR Honda MotoGP Team returned to Misano on the Adriatic Coast for the Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera this week end straight after Indianapolis GP where Randy de Puniet had a gruelling time. The 4.226 km circuit hosts the 12th round of the season which is one of the most crowed race of the calendar thanks to the several Italian 800cc riders and thanks to the well-know seaside resort on the famous Riviera Adriatica.
Riding the Honda RC212V the Frenchman is eager to perform at Misano because is a big fan of the Italian race track but also knows that this race will be another challenging weekend for him and his squad. The 29-year-old’s comeback in Brno was considered a real miracle just three weeks after his crash in the German GP and the fracture of his left leg.
De Puniet: “Last weekend’s race at Indy was really tough, even tougher than Brno where I made my comeback a couple of weeks earlier. The layout of the Indianapolis track made things very difficult for me, so I hope that Misano will be a little bit less punishing for me. Of course, we’ve only had a few days since Indy, so no real time for rest or physio but I like the track and I will be doing everything I can to get some good points and keep my position in the points standings.”
